Learning to Type - Beginner
In this class student will be learning correct finger, hand, arm and body placement for learning to type. Students will start learning finger reach method with index and middle finger keys (J, F, Space, U, R, K, D, E, I, C G, N). Progressing through all of the letters with finger reach method with beginning punctuation method. Teacher will use video and demonstration to the class as well as login into a (student account, and share screen to show them how to complete their lessons). This will best be accomplished if student are able to have a computer for typing.com lessons, and another device (like computer, tablet or phone) for the virtual classroom. Students will be given a code to join a website (typing.com) to follow along with in class and use between classes to practice and complete assignments. Students will need to get parents permission to create an account to join class with. (No email is required, just user name and password). Online interactive games will be included during class time and after for practice. Student will need to complete assignments weekly to help improve their skills to be able to move to the intermediate and advanced typing classes. All students will be given a letter grade during each lesson they complete. All the games give stars and achievements to help make learning to type fun.
Learning to Type- Intermediate
After the first 5 weeks, of beginner, students will book another 5 weeks to proceed to the intermediate level.
Beginner level typing class or skills required before taking this class, and/or minimum 5 WPM speed and 90% accuracy. In this class student will be learning to form words, sentences, paragraphs, punctuation, capitalization, speed drills and games. Teacher will use video and demonstration to the class as well as login into a (student account, and share screen to show them how to complete their lessons). This will best be accomplished if student are able to have a computer for typing.com lessons, and another device (like computer, tablet or phone) for the virtual classroom. Students will be given a code to join a website (typing.com) to follow along with in class and use between classes to practice and complete assignments. Learning to Type- Advanced

Students are required to have completed beginner and intermediate level classes before signing up for this class and/or have a minimum of 15 WPM and 90% accuracy. In this class student will be learning skill builders, accuracy focus, numbers letter numbers, advanced symbols, numeric keypad, advanced wrap up, advanced assessment. Teacher will use video and demonstration to the class as well as login into a (student account, and share screen to show them how to complete their lessons). This will best be accomplished if student are able to have a computer for typing.com lessons, and another device (like computer, tablet or phone) for the virtual classroom.
